Acer’s Pico Projector
Acer is proud to announce their new pico projector, the K10. This projector sports the Texas Instruments DLP technology, but this time combined with LED lamps. Which means maintenance should be a breeze.
Native resolution is set at SVGA with a maximum SXGA and WXGA+ with 100 ANSI lumens up to 60 inches diagonal. Combined with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and vertical keystone correction with manual adjustments or auto settings, makes this pico stand out.
Acer provides Smart Format technology for the pico that also corrects the format of the image, supporting 4:3 and widescreen formats. The unit weighs 1.21lbs and measures out to 125mm x 122mm (5” x 4- 7/8”). Connections include S-Video mini DIN and D-Sub/VGA.
Another smart touch is the fact that you can use a standard Acer notebook power pack to power the device, so no need to pack two if you need the space. Geared for business this pico packs a punch. Small with an easy setup and connection. No reason to have your presentation up going before time and down and packed up for the next one.
The price is expected to be around $443 and it will be available in January 2009.
