Amazon’s Kindle 2 has been released
If your a student or just love to read then the Kindle 2 from Amazon just may be the product for you. The Kindle 2 is the next generation wireless reading device and is on the market as of today. This device is as thin as a magazine but lighter than the average paperback, it’s 8″ x 5.3″ x 0.36″ and weighs about 10 ounces. This means it is about 25 percent thinner than the iPhone. The upgraded Kindle 2 has seven times more storage (2GB of internal storage ) than it’s predecessor and can hold over 1,500 books. It’s now faster 20 percent faster and has a much better battery life than the originalKindle ( improved by 25 percent, Amazon claims two weeks on a single charge).
The display has been upgraded (6″ diagonal E-Ink electronic paper display, 600 x 800 pixel resolution at 167 ppi, 16-level gray scale, the original Kindle was only four shades. Therefore you get a better crisp image with clear text for a superb reading experience. Another addition to the latest upgrade is the Text to Speech feature, it will read to you (great feature for the blind oe very young children).
The Kindle 2 design is identical to the earlier model and has over 230,000 ebooks available from the Kindle store, New York Times Best Sellers and New Releases $9.99, unless marked otherwise . You will have the convience of reading what you want when you want by geting a ebook delievered to you in less than 60 seconds (no PC required). This new Kindle will be able to automatically download magazines, newspapers, ebooks and will sync your content between your other devices. The new Kindle is amazing and better.
The Kindle 2 is currently available for pre-order at $359 USD on Amazons website and original Kindle owners get priority if they order before midnight tonight and will be shipped on 24 February.
