Apple unveiled it’s iPhone 3.1 OS in San Francisco yesterday with some new improvements. In addition to some new features, the software update contains all of the functions introduced previously in 3.0. The update improves video editing and app integration, Voice Control over Bluetooth, Genius, and a bunch of minor adjustments and tweaks. Among the more noteworthy tweak added to 3.1 is “Genius” , which feeds you apps based on software that you’ve already downloaded.

Some other worthy features include the ability to download ringtones wirelessly; organize apps in iTunes, redeem iTunes Gift Cards, view account credits in the App Store, “Fraud Protection” toggle has been added to settings under Safari, save video from Mail and MMS into the Camera Roll, remotely lock an iPhone with a passcode via MobileMe, paste phone numbers into the keypad, iPhone boot time is now faster and several more.

* Better iPhone 3G Wi-Fi performance when Bluetooth is turned on
* Remotely lock iPhone with a passcode via MobileMe
* Use Voice Control on iPhone 3GS with Bluetooth headsets
* Paste phone numbers into the keypad
* Option to use Home button to turn on accessibility features on iPhone 3GS
* Warn when visiting fraudulent websites in Safari (anti-phishing)
* Improved Exchange calendar syncing and invitation handling
* Fixes issue that cause some app icons to display incorrectly
