apple previewing iphone 30 software Apple iPhone OS 3.0 to Be Revealed March 17Apple has released a press release notifying the public that on 17 March they will preview the iPhone 3,o software along with a new version of the phone’s software development kit. Rumors have it the new software should hit the streets sometime this summer. Apple plans to give the world a look at its next-generation operating system for iPhones by inviting reporters and bloggers to a town hall event at its headquarters in Cupertino, California at 10 AM (local time) for a promised a peek at the new operating system.

Some of the features users hope to see with the new iPhone OS are multimedia messaging, tethering via Bluetooth and USB, Cut&Paste, background processing, push and so on. Rumors have many of those features are there, but we will know on March 17 for sure.

Apple says it sold just over some 13.7 million iPhones during 2008, and in January said more than 500 million applications had been downloaded from its App Store.

Hopefully many of our features on the wish list will come true, we are about to find out
