Apple has launched a new set of iMac’s today, the new iMacs feature larger displays in either 21.5″ or 27″ in size. The new displays are brighter and use high-end IPS panels and LED back-lighting.

They also feature faster processors including the ability to use the Intel Core i5 or i7, more RAM and better connectivity options. Both iMac models come with 4GB of RAM standard but can be increased up to 16GB.

The 21.5 inch iMac sports a HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, as oppose to the 27 inch iMac which features a resolution of 2,560 x 1440. That’s good news for HD movie and TV enthusiasts.

The new 21.5 inch iMac comes with a choice of either a 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, or you can get a 3.33GHz Intel Core two Duo processor. The 27 inch iMac comes with either a 2.66GHz quad core Intel Core i5 processor or you can get a 2.8GHz quad core Intel i7 processor.

There are two options in the graphics department on the 21.5 inch iMac in the form of either an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory, or an ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR3 memory.

There are also two choices in the graphics arena on the 27 inch iMac which are either a ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR3 memory, or an ATI Radeon HD 4850 graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR3 memory.

We broke down the specs below to better assist you with what each model has to offer for it’s price range, there is no Blu-ray drive option folks. I know, we also heard there would be but there isn’t.

The 21.5-inch 3.06 GHz iMac has a suggested retail price of $1,199 and includes:
