Apple Launches New MacBook
Fulfilling earlier rumors, Apple today announced a new white MacBook laptop, sporting a 13.3-inch LED-backlight display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels, a new polycarbonate unibody case, a non-user-removable battery that lasts up to 7 hours, and a glass Multi-Touch trackpad.
The new Apple MacBook addition weighs in at 4.7-pounds and is about 1.08 inches thick. Under the hood it gets a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics, 2GB of DDR3 memory with the option to upgrade to 4GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, built in 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, two USB 2.0 ports, a mini display port and Gigabit Ethernet, a web camera, a 250GB hard drive, and a slot-load DVD burner.
Angled as the “ideal consumer notebook for students and new Mac users”, it’s available now $999. It’s available now for purchase at Apple.
