Average Internet Speeds and Costs Around the World

This awesome bar graph shows the average Internet costs and average speeds from around the world for the top 20 nations in the ITIF Broadband Rankings. I’m sure most of you knew the US isn’t doing so well in that department, sad I know.
In the number one position is Japan, where the average broadband speed is 61mbps and they pay about $0.27 per 1mbps. the United States average is about 4.8mbps and we pay about $3.33 per 1mbps, putting us in the 15th position. You can click the image to see a better view of the stats. I scratch my head wondering how this happen.
