Dan Heese (Sprint CEO) says ANDROID coming to the “now network” by years end

10 25 08 dan hesse Dan Heese (Sprint CEO) says ANDROID coming to the “now network” by years endSprint has been one of the most vocal telecommunication providers about Andoird. Although they don’t have an Android device to speak of (yet), Dan Heese, (there CEO) has promised that they will be indeed getting one by the end of 2009.

He further goes on to say that he is glad Sprint waited before they adopted Andoird. To be honest I couldn’t agree more, while no perfect, Andoird has mushroomed from the ugly duckling of Smartphone OS into a competitive brand, and now that we are hearing about multiple devices coming within the next few months, its high time for Sprint to be thinking about adopting the platform.

As to the device, we don’t know yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t some sort of HTC Hero or Magic as both devices are pretty hot and HTC and Sprint has been having a fling for sometime now.
