Dell Adamo XPS is Now Official
Dell is back in the news again with the release of what they say is the world’s thinnest laptop, measuring in at 9.9mm in thickness. The company has been teasing us for a while with leaked photos of the Adamo XPS, and I must say the specs are impressive.
The XPS weighs 1.44kg, measures 340 x 273.9mm, packs Intel Core 2 Duo (1.4Ghz) ultra-low voltage processor, 4GB DDR3 800 RAM, 128GB solid-state drive and Windows 7 64-bit edition OS.
The Dell Adamo XPS sports a 13.4 inch high-definition display with a resolution of 1,366 x 728, it also has two USB 2.0 ports, built-in 802.11n wireless, a headphone jack and a mini display port. Other features include: a capacitive latching device (a finger swipe makes it open), built-in location awareness and a full-size keyboard.
Battery life is about 2.5 hours, and 5 hours on the extended battery. Starting price is $1,799 which makes it a bit on the costly side. Senior Vice President of Dell Consumer Products, noted: “Our engineers and designers are breaking new ground and throwing away the old rules with the introduction of Adamo XPS.
There’s been no mention of a specific release date, but it is rumored to go on sale before Christmas.
