Google Chrome OS Google Chrome OS Ready for Download Within a Week  We first heard back in July that Google was going to release an operating system of their own. This really didn’t take me by surprise as this is what Google does, they create new and or improve on existing technology that revolves around the Internet. According to  TechCrunch, Google Chrome Operating System will be ready for download within a week – yes there is a Mac version coming out about the same time folks.

So we were wondering what exactly can we expect from this new OS?

I’m sure support will be limited, and no doubt many will rush to install just for the sake of saying they have it. We’ll be getting our hands on a copy for review purposes. You can bet drivers will be slow to come at first, who knows maybe they will surprise us.

Google’s Chrome OS will initially be designed to be used with netbooks, and apparently they have been working with a number of  companies on the project which include,Acer, Adobe, ASUS, Freescale, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, and Toshiba on the OS project.

It will be interesting to see what the Google Chrome OS is like, and it may give netbook users a decent option to Windows XP and Windows 7. Nevertheless, the rumors are about to come to an end and we are going to see what this OS is all about.
