Microsoft’s Project Natal coming to an Xbox soon
We’ve been hearing rumors about Microsoft taking on the Wii head on in its quest to lock up as much of the gaming market as it can. So far Sony has been obliterated in respect to sheer features, value and of course profit and now Microsoft has turned its eyes to Nintendo and their highly successful Wii.
For this Microsoft has come up with Project Natal. You might remember that last year at D7 Bill Gates talked about bringing motion control to the Xbox. While something similar to Wii, Microsoft promised that no controllers would be necessary and a person could use existing objects (such as a racket, baseball bat etc.) to play games.
Well today at E3, Microsoft has officially announced that Project Natal is a reality and has given a good demo of it. The system (as promised) will allow motion control of your games (once they support it of course) and also voice and facial recognition for games and security purposes. We’d go into the full details but it might be better if you watched the video below. So check it out and tell us what you think. We are totally synced for this. Too bad we’re hearing from Microsoft that it won’t be coming this year because this would be a number one on our Christmas wish-list.
