NASA Tests New Moon Rover in Arizona
NASA is planning to go back to the moon by 2020, and humans are on the manifest to arrive there including a new exploration vehicle called Lunar Electric Rover (LER). The moon vehicle has 12 pivoting wheels that makes the thing able to enable the move in any direction and spin on a dime. The lunar vehicle features a tilting cockpit for close up views of the terrain. It runs on batteries and fuel cells.
A collection of engineers, astronauts and geologists have spent weeks testing the Rover in the Desert. Teams of astronauts and geologist have been testing the rover through the Arizona desert, taking it out for a drive in different configurations.
