Navy SEALS get dual Screen Laptops

g400 laptop Navy SEALS get dual Screen LaptopsApparently the US Navy Seals need a laptop with dual screens IAW an article I read over at Switched. Developed by an Alaskan startup company named gScreen Corp,  the laptop named G400 has two 15.4 inche screens and weighs in at 7.7 pounds. No doubt I can see where the Navy Seals may need a laptop with this type of feature. Having two screens observing two different point of views can give you an edge in the battlefield.

The operating systems will be either Windows XP or Windows Vista, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz T9600 or P8400 2.26-GHz, up to 8 GB of RAM, 160GB – 500GB 7200-rpm HD, USB 2.0 (x6), VGA, Display Port, RJ-45, Audio, Firewire 1394 Powered 6-pin. You can also opt for a 6 and 9-cell battery plus NVIDIA Quadro FX 2700M Graphics with 512MB dedicated memory or NVIDIA® GeForce® 9800M GT with 512MB dedicated memory. Were hearing the SEALS ordered theirs with Blu-ray drives, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth capability and a rugged composition designed to withstand the harsh conditions SEALs often find themselves in. Seems the Navy SEALs prefer Windows XP Pro.

For those of you that wish to purchase the system, you can pre-order online from Amazon.com starting 25 February.
