New Samsung monitor shoots 720p video and carries 5mp webcam

You’re really were not expecting such things from the Samsung VC240 monitor were you? If you were wondering if we made a mistake in the title, we can assure you you read right, the VC240 does indeed shoot 720p video at 30fps. This is thanks in part to the 5 megapixel camera sitting atop its head.
The camera supports VoIP conferencing and uses h.264 compression technology. More importantly the monitor itself is pure unadulterated HD (1080p) and carries a 1000:1 contrast ratio.
To be honest with you, design wise it sucks, but spec wise its awesome. What sucks even more is the $2000 price tag that will be tacked onto this thing when it arrives this fall. Anyone still interested?
