Opera Mobile Browser 10 Beta Now Available for Download
It’s been a few months since Opera introduced its beta release of a restyled Mini browser for Java phones, then about two months ago Opera introduced the non-beta version of its Opera 10 desktop browser. Once again in early November the Norwegian software developer presented a standalone mobile browser for Symbian Series 60 handsets that attach’s to Opera Mini 5 beta’s master design. And on Wednesday, the company repeats it success with the Opera Mobile 10 beta browser specifically built to give Symbian and Windows Mobile cell phone users a much better and more pleasant Web browsing experience.
The free Opera Mobile 10 beta starts off with a customizable Speed Dial screen, you have nine thumbnails of your favorite website. All you have to do is touch one and off you go to that website. There are a few more nice and new features I like such as the bookmarking and tabbed browsing elements as well as a handy password manager.
The software developer claims the latest build of Opera Mobile 10 beta browser is noticeably faster than the previous beta release (9.7) and is even twice as fast downloading data or zooming in on pages. Another nice feature this beta has is full integration of Opera Turbo, the company’s server-side compression technology that makes loading Web pages from mobile devices much faster and cheaper. Opera has also just released an update for Symbian phones that can now handle fonts for several Asian languages.
Opera Mobile 10 beta can be downloaded here. Check out the video after the break.
