Palm Treo Pro finally available
The much talked about Palm Treo Pro is finally available from Sprint for $199 with a two year contract. In case you forgot this is the first Palm phone available with Internet Explorer Mobile 6. The Treo Pro provides owners with a more robust mobile browser, Wi-Fi, GPS, a full QWERTY keyboard, EV-DO Rev. A support, and touch screen. The smartphone offers one of the sleekest touch screen and full QWERTY combinations with a sophisticated look that I have seen thus far. However, Sprint fans seeking a more multimedia oriented phone may want to wait as the much anticipated Palm Pre is expected to launch sometime in the first half of 2009.
The Palm Treo Pro will be available at Palm.com and from Vodafone and O2 in Europe (free with contract) and from Telstra in Australia ( free with contract). Palm says there will be an unlocked version available in the United States, Europe and Asia Pacific this fall from its online store for about $550.
