Pentax Rugged 720p 14.6 megapixel DSLR gets official

Pantex K 7 588x429 Pentax Rugged 720p 14.6 megapixel DSLR gets officialWe introduce the Pantex K-7, a rugged DSLR camera that comes with 720p video shooting, automatic HDR and a beautiful LCD screen. More importantly you will find a 14.6 megapixel CMOS under the hood. The camera should fit right between the low and mid range DSLR offerings of Nikon and Canon.

Video recording mode supports 30fps as well as HDMI out and an in-body shake reduction. Shooting can be set to 5.4 stills a second and a high ISO of 6400 although we are sure you would never use it.

As for price, that is set at $1300 for body only. Yes we know that is a step above the D5000 and XT1, but it still is a solid camera with great durability. Ship date is set for July and that is all we know so far.

Well its been two days since the original details were leaked, so I guess the boys over at Pentax decided it was high time to let everyone know that the rumors were true.
