Samsung AMOLED 12M SCH-W880 Camera Phone is Now Official
There may be some debate over whether or not the the SCH-W880 represents a cameraphone or our newly suggested category of phonecamera, but there’s is one thing we do know is the Samsung AMOLED 12M is now official and coming to Korea in October.
No word as of yet when it arrives in Europe or the North Americas. We also know this is the world’s first 12 Megapixel camera phone with a 3x optical zoom lens. This CameraPhone also known as the W880, features a 3.3-inch WVGA 800×480 AMOLED touchscreen and T-DMB mobile TV receiver, Bluetooth and 4GB internal storage.
Some additional features aside from its 12-megapixel autofocus camera and 3x optical zoom with Xenon flash are HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, DMB mobile TV support, 4GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot for additional storage, and 720p video recording at 30fps.
Unfortunately, an international press release wasn’t mentioned in the announcement so there’s a possibility that this might be a phone for Korea only.
