Can you imagine one of these creatures in person, well Pete Mander can. He not only had a vision but he created one. Check out the awesome animatronic Halo Elite costume created by effects artist Pete Mander. The suit stands over 7 feet tall when fully assembled, and it took Pete many hard hours to create this masterpiece that can be used in a movie. This thing is incredible, good job Pete and let us know when you have made another fine work of art so we may share the fruits of your labor. Hey everyone,

This morning we faced the difficult task of reducing our team by about 10%. This was an emotional and rough morning for everyone involved. Laying off dedicated and hard working individuals is extremely difficult, but we tried our best to treat everyone with the utmost respect and support. I hope all of you will join me in the effort to assist all of those affected, be it as a reference or a referring source and most importantly, as a friend.

This is one of the hardest decisions we’ve had to make recently but we strongly believe that it is the right decision for the long-term 
health of the company. In order to achieve our goals, we are putting more emphasis on the engineering and development efforts. In fact, we are still hiring for these teams as they are critical in getting us to where we need to be for the future, for our impending upcoming redesign and much beyond. The only way for us to truly succeed is to adapt and adjust as necessary.

I’m sure there will be many follow-
up questions to this email. So, we’ll be holding an all hands today at 3pm where you can ask questions and share your comments.

  • Refreshed UI with actionable browser URL bar enables users to directly tap the address bar for instant searches and navigation.
  • Bookmarks with web page thumbnails.
  • Support for double-tap zoom.
  • Multiple accounts can be added to a device for email and contact synchronization, including Exchange accounts. (Handset manufacturers can choose whether to include Exchange support in their devices.)
  • Developers can create sync adapters that provide synchronization with additional data sources.

Turns out there are rumors circulating about the search engine giant’s plans to build its own navigation app.

If you remember, Apple recently bought some type of navigation firm the other day, if these rumors hold to be true it could mean that both companies are going to be in an all out battle for dominance in the mobile navigation market.

No need to worry Palm owners as (those of us who are on Sprint), have had full turn by turn navigation for like ages now, all included in that sweet monthly bill. At any rate its nice to see that something like this could be coming to Android 1.5 or 2.0 sometime soon.
