When you are looking at webcams there are only a few choices out there worth looking at and Logitech is no doubt out in front. The Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 has caught our attention. With it’s sleek black shiny design and functionality based on Carl Zeiss optics which lures us in for a closer look.

Equipped with a five-element glass lens and a 2-megapixel sensor lets you shoot video up to 1,600×1,200 resolution. We found the QuickCam software informative and easy to use. Installation was straightforward. The audio-tuning wizard lets you optimize the volume for audio input and out. You can adjust sliders for brightness, contrast, color intensity, and white balance, but found the default settings worked best for us. This Logitech Pro 9000 is fully compatible with Windows XP or Vista.

The flexible, two-hinged stand rested nicely on top of our monitor and our laptop without any problems at all.
