Toshiba Camileo S10 Mini Camcorder, Flip-killer? Maybe!
The Flip Mino camcorder took a firm grip on the mini portable camcorder market with a 100 Million dollar profit with ease in 2008. Toshiba has stepped up to the plate with it’s new minicam, the Camileo S10 and they want there share. Who knows what will happen with this new competitor on the block, one thing is clear though, The Flip Mino has a serious challenger waiting to take it’s market share.
Whats hot about the new camcorder is it captures video at 1080p, and takes 5 megapixel stills. The Camileo S10 sports a 4x digital zoom, 2.5-inch LCD flip screen, and comes with 128 MB internal memory. I’m sure we all have a spare SD card hanging around. It also has an HDMI port for quick video transfers to your HDTV. The Flip Mino doesn’t have that!
The Camilieo S10 has a nice eye catching midnight blue finish, it’s ultra thin, weighs in at 120 grams, 18 mm wide x 57 mm thick by 100 mm in height and fits nicely in ones pocket.
Not much more to offer in the way of details or anything about the battery life. We do know it will be released in the UK and other European countries by May at a cost of £129.99, thats about $182 US dollars. As for when it is scheduled for release in the US, well we don’t know yet.
