UMID mbook M2 with Hands on Video
At the IDF 2009, UMID displayed to the world the successor to the mbook M1, dubbed as the mbook M2. The newer model includes a new exterior with a wider opening angle, a conventional USB port instead of needing a dongle, and a new VGA video output, a optical mouse integrated on the display frame.
The M2 gets a choice of either the 1.2GHz or 1.6GHz Intel Atom processors, with 1GB of RAM (the M1 had 512MB) and standardized ports. It will come with Windows 7 and you can get either the 16GB or 32GB capacity solid state drives. The M2 still has the same 4.8-inch display with a 1024×600 resolution as the M1.
The UMID mbook M2 is expected to be released in Q4 2009 for $499. Hands-on video after break:
