Windows 7 for Students will cost $30
As we all know Windows 7 is just around the corner, just over a month infact until the release date. The official lauch prices will be at $120 for the Home Premium upgrade and the price only goes up from there for the other versions.
In spite of all the dismall news, if you’re a college or university student Microsoft has a sweet deal just dieing to meet you. Starting today This offer is good until January 3, 2010, any student with a valid .edu email address can purchase the upgrade version of either Windows 7 Home Premium or Professional for just $29.99.
Microsoft is offering the promotion through win741.com. OMG that makes me wish I were a student again, NOT! Students can pre-order Windows 7 Home Premium or Windows 7 Professional now. Let me say these are not the lightweight student versions; they’re the real deal or full version. The operating system will be offered as a download, Copies are restricted to one per email address and you’ll have to choose between the 32 OR 64-bit versions.


In the UK it’s £30, I stupidly pre-ordered my copy and after payment I checked my student email account and there was an e-mail offering it plus loads of other microsoft software for free
